De beste fatbike voor de dagelijkse schoolrit

Elke ochtend naar school en 's middags weer terug, bij weer en wind. Voor scholieren telt een fiets die genoeg bereik heeft voor de hele week, snel weer oplaadt en tegen een stootje kan. Ons team koos deze vijf daarop. Van een lage instap tot een compacter model voor jongere scholieren, er zit voor elke leeftijd iets tussen.

Genoeg bereik voor een week naar school

Een scholier heeft geen zin om elke avond te laden, en ouders ook niet. De modellen hier halen afhankelijk van het type tot rond de 100 km op een lading, bij de OUXI C80 MAX met dubbele accu nog meer. Voor de meeste schoolritten kom je zo een flink deel van de week door zonder aan de lader te hoeven.

Sterk genoeg voor dagelijks gebruik

Een schoolfiets krijgt het te verduren: elke dag heen en terug, tegen een muurtje gezet, volgeladen met een rugtas. De modellen hier zijn stevig gebouwd en dragen tot rond de 140 à 150 kg. Brede banden en hydraulische remmen zorgen dat de fiets ook in de regen en met bagage betrouwbaar blijft.

Van jonge scholier tot bovenbouw

Vanaf welke leeftijd, en geldt er een helmplicht?

Deze fietsen zijn e-bikes met trapondersteuning tot 25 km/u, dus je hebt geen rijbewijs of kenteken nodig en er is geen minimumleeftijd zoals bij een brommer. Let wel op: vanaf 2027 geldt in Nederland een helmplicht voor jongeren onder de 18 op dit soort fietsen, dus reken een helm mee bij de aankoop.
