The ADO Air Carbon is the lightest foldable bike in the range, featuring a carbon frame and fork. Folding and carrying

The most striking feature is the weight. At about 16 kilos, you can carry the Air Carbon up a flight of stairs or onto a train without your arm giving out immediately. Folding takes just a few seconds, after which it fits compactly beside your desk or in a car trunk. The carbon belt runs without oil, so you can bring it indoors without dirty marks. The carbon frame feels light but sturdy. Anyone who has to lug their bike daily will notice the biggest difference compared to a regular e-bike here.

Range and battery

The 36V 9.6Ah battery is designed for rides in and around the city. How far you get depends on your weight, the wind, your level of assistance, and the route. So, consider a margin rather than a fixed number. If you ride short distances and recharge regularly, you’ll rarely run low. For a longer day, bring the charger along. Because the bike itself is light, the motor has less weight to move, which benefits your range.

Motor, speed, and regulations

The wheel contains a 250W BAFANG motor that assists you up to 25 km/h. You always pedal yourself, and there is no throttle, so the Air Carbon is considered a regular electric bike. No driver's license, no registration plate, no helmet requirement. The torque sensor senses your pedaling force and adjusts the assistance accordingly, which feels natural. We advise against tuning: then you fall outside the legal category, the bike is not built for it, and your warranty will be void.

Tires, brakes, and riding feel

The Air Carbon rides light and agile, just what you want in the city. You brake with hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, which also grip well and evenly in the rain. Through the Smart Connect module and the app, you keep track of your bike, with a GPS function and motion detection against theft. The light frame makes it responsive to steering: fun and direct, but a bit of an adjustment if you come from a heavy bike. For short trips around the city, that actually feels pleasant.

Who is this folding bike for

The Air Carbon is for those who want to lift as lightly as possible and often take the bike with them. Do you commute by train, live on a floor without an elevator, or like to put it in the car? Then this low weight is worth its weight in gold. Suitable for riders approximately 155 to 190 cm tall, with a load capacity up to 120 kilos. If you are looking for a large comfort bike with fat tires for long rides, this is not your model. The Air Carbon is all about light and compact.
