FAQ

WhatsApp us
Is the Q6 legal?
Yes. The Q6 only assists you when you pedal yourself and stops at 25 km/h, with a 250W motor and no throttle. This makes it just an electric bike, not a moped. So you are allowed to ride it anywhere you can ride a regular bike.
How fast does the Q6 go, and am I allowed to increase its speed?
The Q6 supports speeds up to 25 km/h. Faster is not allowed: once you increase the speed of a fatbike, it is legally considered a moped. You are then required to have insurance, a license plate, and a helmet, and your warranty becomes void. With our bikes, you ride safely within the rules.
Do I need a driver's license, insurance, or registration for the Q6?
No. Because the Q6 supports up to 25 km/h, it counts as a regular bike. No driver's license, no license plate, no mandatory insurance. A bike insurance against theft or damage is smart, but that is up to you.
From what age are you allowed to ride the Q6?
In the UK you must be 14 or over to ride an electric bike (EAPC) like this one on public roads (gov.uk). A helmet is not compulsory for EAPC riders, but it is recommended.
How far can you go with the Q6 on a single battery charge?
With the Q6, you can ride approximately 60 to 120 km on a full battery. The exact distance depends on your speed, your weight, how much assistance you use, and the wind.
What warranty do I get on the Q6?
You get a 2-year warranty on the frame and 1 year on the moving parts. If something breaks during that period due to a manufacturing defect, we will take care of it for you.

Diablo Q6 at GOfatbike

The Diablo Q6 is an electric fatbike that is strong and comfortable, here shown in gray. With the wide tires and the 250W motor, you can easily ride through the city, but also on wet roads or unpaved paths. It is a bike that is easy to use and suitable for daily rides. Below you can read what makes the Q6 convenient and who it suits.

Comfortable and easy to use

The Diablo Q6 is made for people looking for a bike that is easy to use and versatile. You sit upright and relaxed, and thanks to the suspension fork, you absorb bumps and shocks, so you can ride comfortably even on less smooth roads. The Shimano 7-speed gears, LED lighting, and a simple display make riding clear. This way, you can keep a good eye on your speed and battery status, even on longer rides.

Motor, speed, and regulations

The Q6 has a 250W motor that supports you up to 25 km/h. This makes cycling much easier, whether you are going uphill or covering a longer distance. There is no throttle, so you keep pedaling yourself and the motor only assists. With this setup, the bike counts as a regular electric bike and you do not need a license, registration, or helmet. Do not modify the bike to go faster: then it no longer counts as a regular electric bike and your warranty will be void.

Wide tires and grip

The wide tires are what make a fatbike special. They provide extra grip whether you're riding on asphalt, sand, gravel, or a muddy path, and ensure you stay stable while riding. Even on loose surfaces, the bike feels solid, making the Q6 suitable for daily use and nature rides. Because the tires and frame are sturdy, the bike weighs more than a regular city bike; you’ll notice this mainly when lifting it, and much less while riding.

Battery and range

The Q6’s battery charges easily and offers enough range for daily trips. How far you go depends on your weight, the wind, the level of assistance chosen, and the terrain, so consider the distance as a guideline rather than a fixed promise. If you often ride with high assistance or against the wind, you’ll get fewer kilometers than when pedaling gently in a low setting. For commuting and errands, one charge is more than enough in practice.

Who is this fatbike for

The Diablo Q6 suits people who want a comfortable and easy fatbike for everyday use. Whether you’re cycling to work, running errands, or taking a leisurely ride, the Q6 is a great choice. If you’re looking for a sporty bike to train hard with, this isn’t the model for that. For stable and relaxed riding with some motor assistance, the Q6 is a logical option that requires little maintenance.
