This keeps the bike a regular electric bike: no license, registration, or helmet required. Leave the motor alone when it comes to speeding it up. That would take the bike out of its legal category, overload the brakes and frame, and void your warranty. For city use and longer rides, 250W is more than enough.

Tires, brakes, and riding feel

You shift with the Shimano seven-speed gears: a lighter gear for climbing, a heavier one for pedaling through. The adjustable ZOOM front fork absorbs some vibrations and smooths out bumpy roads. A bright LED headlight shines at the front and an integrated brake light at the rear ensures your visibility in the dark. You sit comfortably and upright, focused on ease. Thanks to the compact design, a folding bike steers a bit more directly than a large city bike, which takes some getting used to but then rides nicely.
