FAQ
WhatsApp usIs the E-Comfort N7 legal?
Yes. The E-Comfort N7 only assists you when you pedal yourself and stops at 25 km/h, with a 250W motor and no throttle. This makes it simply an electric bike, not a moped. So you are allowed to ride it anywhere you can ride a regular bike.
How fast does the E-Comfort N7 go, and am I allowed to increase its speed?
The E-Comfort N7 supports speeds up to 25 km/h. It is not allowed to go faster: once you modify an e-bike, it is legally considered a moped. You are then required to have insurance, a license plate, and a helmet, and your warranty becomes void. With our bikes, you ride safely within the rules.
Do I need a driver's license, insurance, or registration for the E-Comfort N7?
No. Because the E-Comfort N7 supports speeds up to 25 km/h, it counts as a regular bike. No driver's license, no license plate, no mandatory insurance. However, bike insurance against theft or damage is a smart idea, but that’s up to you.
From what age are you allowed to ride the E-Comfort N7?
In the UK you must be 14 or over to ride an electric bike (EAPC) like this one on public roads (gov.uk). A helmet is not compulsory for EAPC riders, but it is recommended.
What warranty do I get on the E-Comfort N7?
You get a 2-year warranty on the frame and 1 year on the moving parts. If something breaks during that period due to a manufacturing defect, we will take care of it for you.
